Calling all super-c-hounds! SOS; Putting up the chow-signal

Hi Everyone,

Need some advice. Got a friend's birthday on (this) Saturday (it's a big Milestone one). She's coming in from down south. She doesn't like French food, or Asian (maybe Chinese) but any other type should be fine; nothing too modern. Can be any neighborhood in Manhattan. She said something about Tavern on the Green, but their food is awful. So a scene-y type place that won't be totally booked up (we have 3 people for 9pm). She sent a link for a seafood shack type place, but it was way too casual more of a take out joint. Right now I'm thinking Pearl Oyster Bar, but would prefer a place that takes reservations as POB will be a mob scene. Budget is high for this but not "Per Se" high. Average entree can be 30 but not much more. Ideas are much appreciated!! Thanks!!!
