Barth's in New Providence is great for the store-made cold cuts and dogs. I get my chickens from a local farm. I get the "usual cuts" from either Wegman's or the local butcher.
But I'd like to find a place where I can get things like veal sweetbreads, kidneys, game birds, suet, pigs feet, caul fat... without trekking into NYC.
I can understand why every butcher dosen't keep the variety (fun) meats on hand. But isn't there even one around who has more than the usual steaks, roasts, and ground beef?
By the way, some supermarkets which cater to ethnic communities have more of this kind of thing, but I've wondered about the quality...any feedback is appreciated.
