I'm planning a meal for friends featuring food and beverage pairings from Britain versus France. I've decided in 3 courses per country.
For Britain I've chosen the following (and would appreciate your opinion):
- Welsh rarebit (cheddar) served w/ Samuel Smith Taddy Porter (beer also used in rarebit)
- Lamb Curry served w/ a dark English mild
- Pork Pie & salad served w/ Fullers London Pride (or cider)
Too heavy? Sequence wrong? Better dishes or pairings?
