brined turkey - stuffed or not?

I've been brining my turkeys for the past few years, and this year I decided to stuff the cavity with your basic mirepoix vegetables instead of the stuffing. It's the one disappointment I have with the brining results - otherwise the best of any technique - the stuffing in the bird becomes way too salty - and I like salty!
Has anyone else experienced this, and what have you done? I know many people feel you shouldn't stuff the bird anyway, but I love the flavor.
