breakfast breads

On my recent trip to Spokane we had brunch at an upscale cafe called Luna, that specializes among other things in house-made baked goods.

Our meal started with a complimentary basket of sliced sweet nut bread -- still warm -- and butter whipped with orange zest. Since a busboy circulating with a basket kept offering to replenish it, we really had to restrain ourselves from gorging on it.

This reminded me that I've been wondering if there's a nice breakfast/brunch place with similar offerings in the Bay Area. I seem to remember that La Creme de la Creme in Rockridge had a nice sweet breads basket, but for some reason I haven't been there in years (and I haven't heard anything recent about it).
