Bombay Club RW Report

Roberto64 | Jul 28, 2004 02:19 PM

The Lunch Menu (see the website for more details):

Mulligatawny Soup
Club Calamari
Patri Chaat- cracker w/ chickpeas, yogurt, tamarind (somewhat more Lebanese rather than Indian, I thought)

Chicken Chops Tandoori
Salmon Tandoori
Lamb Somethingorother- tender lamb chunks in fenugeek? sauce
Bombay Thali- Vegetarian sampler 6 or so small bowls

Rice Kheer
Carrot Pudding
Mango w/ Mango Sorbet

I asked about the Dinner menu, it is different, but also limited.

I have been to most every Indian in NoVa/DC from Bombay Palace to Delhi Dhaba over the years, but hadn't done Bombay Club yet. Probably the jacket requirement kept me away. Had the Patri Chaat, Lamb, Carrot and was pleased with my selections, but I think I would have rather ordered from the menu, as there were alot of more interesting sounding choices. Though everything was very good and portion sizes were reasonable offering good value overall, I was expecting something in the realm of the exceptional (as was Tosca on Monday).
