Someone on the Not about Food board wanted biscuit recipes. I have two to share. Dead easy :-)

Mom's Biscuits

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup butter, depending on how you feel :-)

Mix the dry and cut in the butter - I use my hands - until you have pea sized lumps and some finer ones too. Stir in milk until you have the desired consistency - a soft wetish dough that you can drop from a spoon onto a cookie sheet or a dryer firmer dough that you can roll out and cut, depending on what you like. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes and they are nice and brown.

Lazy Me Biscuits

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Heavy cream...around 1 1/2 cups

Mix the dry and add whipping cream until you have a firmish dough that you can scoop onto a cookie sheet. I usually kind of scoop some up and form it into a round shape with my hand. Bake as above.
