Birthday dinner recs?

Hello Hounds!

My wife has a symbolically important birthday coming up (ends in a 0), and I am looking for an awesome place to take her out to dinner. We would love to try something new, so I thought I'd crowdsource this baby and see if you hounds can help me out! Here are some criteria/constraints/guidance:

Italian! We have much love for many cuisines, but if we're talking major birthday, we're talking Italian. (Our two favorite Italian places in the city are Modo Mio and Radicchio, if that helps.)

Downtown. Old City, Rittenhouse, maybe as far south as South St, but probably not farther.

BYO is fine, so is full bar. We will probably want to go for a cocktail before or after dinner, so if you can recommend a good spot nearby, that would be great. (If we go eat somewhere in Old City, the before bar would be Sassafras, if that gives you a good idea -- quiet, dark, classy.)

We are going to be going out on a Wednesday, if that factors in at all.

Thanks Hounds!
