Bing's Biscuit&Gravy Nirvana is gone

jaweino | Jun 29, 2002 05:30 PM

Last week Ruth Lafler had a post that Bicuit and Gravy Quarterly called Bing's Diner in Castroville B&G Nirvana. I was surprised to hear this, since the last time I tried Bing's, about 10 years ago,the specialty they announce on their sign, BBQ, was awful.

We resolved to try the biscuits and gravy on our next trek from Carmel to SF which took place this morning.
Bing's had a big sign in the window saying "CLOSED". Atop the buiding was a much bigger sign saying "COMING SOON TROLLEY CAR PIZZA". Alas, once more Nirvana has eluded me.
