Mediterraneo(Church st) - 2nd floor roof bar looks like the place to go after work. Great food, tapas, wonderful service, carpaccio, scallops...it was all good.
Pickled Onion(front st) - people watch on the balcony - have a beer and a lobster crab martini and the lavash
Hog Penny - pub fare, solidly good - nice salads
Miles Market - good place to pick up lunch foods, coffee and breads/pastry.
La Trattoria - just fair - antipasto was a good value and lots of variety. Mare Mare pizza had lots of seafood but was bland, husband had tenderloin but was more the consistency of a roast.
Aggie's Garden - this place needs to get its act together. We were there at 12:15 on a Monday and they were "still making the soup" for lunch and had no bread. The sandwiches were good but more the size of egg rolls than a sandwich. No variety - just 3 different types of chicken sandwiches. Cookies were good. only take cash.
Salt Rock Grill - we ate there 2x - once for dinner on a Friday nite - had wahoo special which was delicious and a lobster salad. Then had Sunday bruch - we were looking forward to codfish breakfast but they don't offer that any more. We had fish and chips and a spicy fish wrap - both excellent. Great view of a peaceful harbor.
Tio Pepe - right up the hill from Horseshoe Beach - great place to sit and have a beer after a day on the beach. We really enjoyed a seafood salad with squid and shrimp - very fresh.
