Spears Market BBQ- Gas grills and umbrellas are set up in the parking lot every Fri-Sat-Sun at the corner of Trenton and Mirabel rd. in forestville.Rack of dry style baby back ribs is $15.99 and seldom seen whole tri-tip $17.99.

Franzi's Swiss Italian Deli in the Orchard Center on Old Redwood hiway in penngrove- a passable selection
at lunchtime of beef, whole chicken and fatty spareribs
cooked California style-but it is over mesquite charcoal.

Lombardi's Gourmet BBQ-3143 Petaluma Blvd. N. in Petaluma(707-773-1271) Texas smokers burning Oak dominaate the parking lot. A standard array of BBQ
items done well but not exceptionally. Focus on their
signature side dishes- BBQ Asparagus ($6.99),Portobello
Mushrooms ($9.99), BBQ Oysters ($10 dz.) and Granzellas
antipasto- from Granzellas Deli up ther in Colusa
County rice country off I-5.
