My friend and I convened at Barefoot Coffee Roaster's cafe in Campbell to hold our Mardi Gras sweets taste-off. A first time for both of us, as I had previously been unaware that Barefoot had reopened a coffeehouse five years ago to showcase its beans.
The pourover of the day, Camiseta, was as fruity as the descriptor card promised. With a natural sweetness, this was easy for me to drink black. My friend ordered the cappuccino so that I could taste it, and I felt it was very well-made. He's shifted to lighter style roasts and found it too dark, whereas I liked the more robust flavors that were still brighter than old school espresso roasts.
