Your patience will be appreciated as I relate much, various material. Primarily, I first request any reviews from those who may go to the restaurant. I hope to go someday soon, but I am over an hour away, plus other complications! Please follow my ramble numerically!!! 1. I was there yesterday, Thursday around 11.15 to just check it out. From the outside, I had doubts about signage offering all day breakfasts, Canadian food, etc. 2. The restaurant area at the front was very nice, passing this room, a bar area/belly dance area/darker was entered, where I spoke to someone and checked the menu. 3. Checking out the menu, you will not find the kind of wonderful open kitchens of the former Macedonian restaurants we have been looking for --- The Geneva, The Europe, The Constantinople, The International, The Macedonian Village. 4. From my memory of the menu, there were some offerings Macedonian sausage, stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, but not sure what they were served with. The usual additions to the plate like hot peppers and the fantastic beans were listed on the appetizer menu. 5. I never had or saw in a Macedonian restaurant Moussaka, but know Macedonians make Moussaka and my Macedonian cookbook has a regular and an amazing skillet version of Moussaka. I had asked about availability of Moussaka and was told that it is made right now only about once a week. I did not question what Macedonian food is available, but this restaurant in it's early stages seems probably geared only for the busier week-end trade, when it is very difficult for me to reach. ----- I will check out The Balkan Palace, but for now must leave it in Chowhound hands if the desire to visit occurs! 2933 Lawrence Avenue East --- 416 264-9548!!!
