I walked over to Avenue 9 yesterday morning for brunch, and was stunned into silence to see the place dark and empty. After 6 years, they have closed their doors and moved to a new place in Potrero named Succotash.

I can't say how many brunches, lunches and dinners I've had at Avenue 9. Some of my favorite food in the Inner Sunset was served there. The brunch there was many steps above the greasy fare served at so many inner sunset breakfast places. I'm going to miss it. Well, at least we still have Arizmendi.

If anyone knows anything about Succotash, I'm curious to hear about it.
