When I lived in Moscow I ate at a place called Guria, my favorite restaurant in the entire world. There, they served something called Khachapuri -- a flat round bread filled with farmer's cheese and butter. MY GOD WAS IT GOOD! (How could it not be?)
I've since scored a recipe and make it at home from time to time, but it's never as good as I remember it because I can't find the right ingredients in my town.
I'm coming to NY next weekend and am holding out hope that there's a restaurant/market/bakery/kiosk/anything that might sell this food. Can anyone help?
