attitude at Lupa

Has this happened to anyone else? The last two times I've gone to have a drink at Lupa, the attitude of the hostess has been so rude I've left. More specifically, when I asked about having a drink at the bar (early, between 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. as I know it's a madhouse later) the hostess basically blew me off, implying that it'd be a waste of my time to wait a few minutes for a seat to open up. It happened again last night -- at which point, I left and don't plan on returning. Let's face it, there are lots of other places to have a drink in the city! Just wondering if this is unique to me or if this is typical?
