Another wonderful meal at 2 Amys last night. It's getting to the point where this might be my favorite place in town to eat, especially with kids or out-of-town guests (and kids from out of town, of course). It's now open for dinner on Monday, too!

A great Calabrese pizza -- the anchovies were especially flavorful. And the Parma ham and cranberry bean soup was very homey and soothing, if a bit underheated.

But the reason you should go now is to order the following, before they leave the menu:

The principe di Sardegna Blue Cheese, and the Piancentinu ennese (a very mild cow's milk cheese with saffron and peppercorns);

and, especially,

the rabbit stuffed with escarole and pinenuts, served with a fruit (mostly fig) compote. Yum. (This is a small, appetizer-like dish that would be great with a glass of wine at the bar, even if you're not there for pizza.)

I didn't order it, but the smoked mozzarella with eggplant and roasted pepper sauce also looked really tempting.
