We were Fish and Chips hogs all weekend. What an amazing bounty of gorgeous fish, crab and mollusk!!Sat. nite Halibut fish and chips at Silver Salmon, beautiful thin crisp batter perfect fish, and outstanding crab cakes as well, a more cheesey creamy version, like a cross between a crab cake and hot crab dip. Sunday we hit Little Ocean Annies on the Washington side of the bridge. Sweet cod with amazing crisp yet delicate batter. Better chips too, more potatoey flavor. Mon. in Ashland, our last farewell to Oregon, at the Black Sheep pub, a more British version, with fresh snapper and malt vinegar..yum yum yum all the way home to LA where we sadly search in vain for any decent , inexpensive seafood.
