you know, i think i mentioned this place awhile back and perhaps others have in the interim, but just had another wonderful meal there tonight and thought i would post a reminder for those who haven't been. sardinian, friendly, delicious, interesting ingredients, fun wine list, cash only, pretty great. and a ricotta pasta with bottarga that makes mario's version at babbo pale in comparison. blanch in comparison.
apparently the pork was dry and not so great tonight, but the sliced fresh artichoke heart salad with parmesean was a lovely starter and the tagliorini with wild mushrooms and truffle oil was sensational, the lemon trennete with sardines and orange was a poem, the fregole with clams as good as my own, and again - the bottarga pasta - so, so good. the atmosphere is rustic country itailan, it's affordable and wonderful. just wanted to say.
