Have been meaning to try this place for years as both the washingtonian and the Post have been giving it high scores.
One word review- dissapointing!
it is a cafeteria style self serve modest place with the absolute bare essentials.
The massalla Dosa was soggy and the potatoe stuffing lacked any flavor.
The vada sambar fried lentil dough dumpling was raw inside as was the ' medu vada'and the aloo bonda had the same tasteless potato base as the dosa filling and could have been fried crisper.
And the accompanying coconut chutney,I cannot understand why most dosa places including this one cannot use fresh coconut instead of the dried gritty trash.
There was a daily special for 7.95 which I did not try. The place however was quite busy with alot of patrons being Indian.
As for me, for my dosa I am back to Woodlands or Uddipi Palace.
