I went to ALEX several months ago with the Sommelier from Melisse and Kar of course, about four days after it opened. We had a pleasent meal and I felt there was alot of promise so I recommended it to a friend on the LA F&W society. Guess what? He goes to dinner with his wife and some friends and has a "less that great experience" which was very distressing. Anyway, my same friend went back last night and his experience was much better so I'll give it another try, soon.
