Need Advice about Corn Scalloped Corn

I am making a double batch of baked corn tomorrow for Easter dinner. I have made it several times and baked it in a shallow casserole dish but since I am doubling it I wanted to make it in a deep casserole dish. Will this work or wont it get done in the middle?
