Very enthusiastic about Acapulqueños Mexican Grill after our second visit. We have sampled around the menu a fair amount and have found the food to be carefully prepared and delicious. We had enjoyed some combination plates and fajitas with friends on the first visit and were anxious to get back and branch out a little.
My date and I swapped our starters of tostadas and quesadillas back and forth and we cheered equally for each. He says the tostadas were chicken but Im almost certain that they were chorizo. They were So Good.
The seafood offerings were intriguing and I was glad to have chosen the fish filet with octopus and shrimp in chipotle sauce. The filet was unbreaded, delicately fried, and had a wonderful fresh flavor to it. The octopus was tender, too, great stuff. There is another option on the menu called Shrimp and Octopus in Love. Sounds like a must try.
The service is earnest and amiable, quite winning in every way. The room is pleasant if not elegant, clean and bright, and the clientele preponderantly Latino. BYO, they are hitting their stride. On our first visit we drank our wine from brandy snifters (this may catch on). This time we had a choice between tumblers or wine glasses.
