I guess I'll have to eat my "Chow" words (no pun intended), for never going to a new restaurant for a couple of months. We were at the first hour of operation of the new Marina Bay entry, "Port 305". Run by the owner of Siro's, this place is hot, and will be the haunt of choice for those that can't stay away from the waterfront. This place has the feel of a real high end resort style establishment. The black and white interior is no surprise, as this is the signature look for Kristen. And what a great job she did. A complete renovation and redesign. Hugh bar facing the water, high tops, low tops, lean rails, intimate dining nooks, lots and lots of covered patio seating and a fabulous function space.
The kitchen has been expanded and is open to the bar/dining room. They have a real chef and a real bar manager.
The menu is too big to tell all, but it's packed with things you'd expect to get at the beach. They even have a hot dog! We had the fried clam plate with french fry slices and asian cole slaw and lobster sliders with BBQ baked beans. Both were good as were the passed samples of chicken wins and flatbread pizza. Wine list is limited but was reasonably well thought out.
Servers are well trained and should be able to hold the fort for the Summer rush. Finally, there's a reason to go back to Marina Bay.
