We are getting in at around 7pm ( from Budapest) on a wednesday night in mid june, staying near the Odeon. I'm thinking for the first night, maybe something simple in the neighborhood, or in the 7th arr so we can head over to the Eiffel tower after dinner (bringing our 16 yr old who's never been to paris). I was looking at Cafe Constant - I don't see much discussion about it - what's the general consensus? I'm thinking of something like Woseley in London or Balthazar in NYC, but with better food. Or is there any other suggestion? I was considering Josephine Chez Dumonet, but I'm afraid the food is too heavy - it that correct? We don't mind getting around a bit, so in other areas is ok too.
I made reservation for Hexagone for friday night, and plan to try Clamato on saturday night. Thursday we are doing a 3:30pm Marais area food tour with Paris by Mouth, but haven't decided where to eat that night - considering AG, Les Climats, Clover (where can I find a sample menu for Clover?) Or I can try one of these for the first night.
Also I'm looking at the soufflé restaurant, La Cigale Recamier - has it reopened under a different name? I can't seem to find it… Is it worth checking it out?
Appreciate any suggestions!!
