Hello local hounds,
After spending a 9 days culinary tour, in and around Paris, my foodie brother-in-law and I will be taking the high-speed train to Frankfurt for a 3 nights stay. Totally unfamiliar with the city, I have roughly planned the following eating itinerary based on a few food blogging sites and articles. I have no clue as to the reliability of the recommendations and consistency of the places. Please kindly review and critique:
Day 1 : Dinner - 'Zum Gemalten Haus' ( Apfel wein hall and traditional German food )
Day 2: Lunch - ' Lafleur ' for some Michelin star fare. Is this THE best Michelin star restaurant in area?
Dinner - ' Apfel Wein Wagner ' ( take in some more traditional German beer hall experience )
Day 3: Lunch - No choice, since lunch is included in our half day Rhine river cruise
Dinner - Heimat ( modern European food )......is this good? Welcome other similar suggestions.
Day 4: Lunch - Find good sausages in ' Kleinmarkt Halle '. Also, planning to walk around Romerberg. Any
good sausage places in the area? If so, may be eat there instead?
If in your opinion there are better ' traditional German food places ' other than my aforementioned ones, feel free to put them forward. As well, looking for one or two fine dining places during our stay. So, again, if there are other better choices than the ones above, would love to hear them? eg Villa Rothschild? Seven Swan?
Thanks in advance!
