I read a post within the past few weeks about a stand on the NE corner of Canal and Lafayette where they have rice noodles with shrimp and pork. I went this weekend and there was nothing there. Is this the wrong address or is the stand not there on weekends?

I have been on a bahn mi kick lately and trying different places that have been listed here. I remember one in the East Broadway Mall. I had never been there before this weekend. I went, but could not find the bahn mi. Thee was some food stalls downstairs, but nothing was in English and no one was eating anything that looked like it. Can someone help? FYI- my fav has been the place on Walker St. I had the best one at Bahn Mi So 1, but it's been inconsistent.

Where can I buy green papaya in Chinatown? I have never used one and don't know how to tell it apart from a regular papaya.
