who still keeps a bowl of marinating cukes in her refrigerator all summer? I can remember this bowl on every summer dinner table when I was young. Sliced cukes, vinegar, sugar, onions and pepper. My mom or grandmother would slice new cukes after dinner every night and they would come out perfect the next evening. Everyone would fish around to get the ones that they liked best - totally marinated and a little soft to very crisp and very sweet/sour and everything in between. Does anyone do this - or remember this?
