Having spent 35+ years in Toronto we now live in Muskoka and trave(led) extensively. But no travel and no Toronto means our eating adventures for the past 5 months have been limited to what we are cooking up in the kitchen. Fun but we need more so we have booked to go to Markham for two nights. In addition to visiting the Aga Khan, Costco, T&T, Full Fresh Market and Yummy market we plan to eat takeout from restaurants in the Markham area. Having explored on line the following are my short list for two lunches/bruches and two dinners:
- Din Tai Fing for noodles and dumplings - lunch
- Lin Garden for Indian /Chinese food - chili chicken, house fried shrimp and thick Hakka noodles - dinner
- O’Mei or Flavourful House for Cantonese - dinner; and
- one of the following for sushi lunch - Taro Fish, Toro Sushi or Zen.
We think we will have to return for a deeper dive!
If you can offer feedback on these restaurants and have other suggestions, I would appreciate your input.
