2006 restaurant week

I never liked the idea of eating at higher end restaurants during the restaurant week. Most of them seem to have separate menus for the event(which kinda defeats purpose of the event, i think) and the restaurants get way too crowded.
Is there any restaurant who keeps the same menu(or at least the same quality) during the restaurant week without the rushed service?
Or am I expecting too much?
