my wife and I and 2 children (ages 16 and 12) will be visiting Montreal for a weekend in the near future. Both kids are very well-behaved; the 16 year old will eat almost any cuisine whereas the 12 year old prefers a more a limited repertoire (we can usually find something on most menus to satisfy him). We are looking for restaurants for both lunch and dinner that will provide us with meals that truly reflect Montreal's uniqueness. we are staying in the "old" part of the city but will have a car, so we are not limited to the area in which we are staying. So, we are interested in recommendations for places that are not too formal or very expensive (no more than, say, 20-25 CAD per person for dinner). any help would be appreciated. thanks.
