1st date in baltimore - need a good bar

brian | Sep 12, 2003 10:01 AM

Change of plans from the 1st post. Dinner's out. Drinks are in. So now I need a good bar to go for a 1st date. Preferably low-key atmosphere. Ideally a place where it wouldn't be hard to get a table or couch or whatever. I'm always a fan of Brewer's Art, although the beers are kind of strong and we're both driving home, so I don't want it to end prematurely because we're both feeling the alcohol. Owl Bar has a nice look, but the blaring dance music sucks and I don't know how crowded it gets around 9ish. I kind of like the bar at Eurasian Harbor, but I'm not sure how good it would be a for a date because it's kind of dark and I'm not that ugly. If the weather is nice, Kiss Cafe is an option, although that might be a little bit too low key.

Neighborhood doesn't really matter, so long as it's not power plant live. (i'd sooner chew off my arm)

Please help.
