I had a take away from the Albert Roux tea room in Geneva- five rounds of vegetarian sandwiches (one of each variety) and a slice of banana cake. The tomato and salad variety was the nicest- the tomato being a better counterpoint to the mayonnaise than either the egg or avocado and salad varieties. The banana cake was nice. I was charged 3.50CHF for each sandwich- half the price on the menu. Total cost 25CHF or £10.
I also ate at Cafe Victoria in same city. A bit of a 'Pizza Express' lunch canneloni stuffed with cheese and a mesclun side salad. The canneloni was quality and the mesclun good variety of textures and colours. Justifies Michelin Bib Gourmand rating on the strength of that meal. But should there be a next time I will have the 'Oriental' salad which is actually a Middle Eastern salad. cost for two dishes and sparkling water £16
