They both have attractive comfortable rooms and wood oven ,small, thin crust pizzas.Better service at Cantinetta and v. good arancini app.The eggplant app. at both places was exc.but Il Fornaio's Rolled eggplant filled w/ chevre, in marinara sauce-was the superior dish. Both pizzas were good but crusts were lifeless/flat. I think they just can't get their ovens hot enough for a good blister and char.For us, a toss up between the two restaurants. Il Fornaio's menu is larger, with more daily specials.
