There are two things in this recipe that make it awesome — homemade crispy corn taco shells, and a taco meat seasoning mix we got from Alton Brown, that Food Network guy. No need to rely on store-bought taco shells; instead, you make them yourself by pan-frying soft corn tortillas. And then you cook onions and garlic, brown the meat, and add this delicious seasoning: chili powder, cumin, paprika, habanero powder, coriander, cornstarch, and salt. It's so much better than the taco seasoning powder packets you get at the grocery store.
