Another week, another shuttered bagel place. Eater reports (via the Jew & the Carrot) that Coney Island Bialys & Bagels, a family-owned restaurant that has enjoyed a 91-year run, is soon to shutter.

In the wake of H&H’s Upper West Side flagship closing in June, this has been a rough summer for bagels! The Coney Island bagel shop is, according to one Chowhound, “the real deal.”

If you’re interested in supporting the business before it disappears, a quick call confirmed that the closing will probably be “after the Jewish holidays.” Consider swinging by for a bag of bagels or bialys in the next few weeks if you’re down by Coney, and help send the Ross family off in style.
