Pomegranate molasses (pomegranate juice that's been boiled down to a thick syrup) is traditionally used in Middle Eastern dishes such as muhammara (pictured), a red pepper and walnut spread, but it's also a delicious addition anywhere you want a sweet-and-sour flavor.
