Pasadena has its fair share of solid restaurants, but a recent seamless meal at Malbec made the Argentine place positively shine for Chowhound Will Owen. The house-made pastas and grilled meats are generally good, but what really stood out was the entraña al chimichurri (pictured), skirt steak paired with vegetables and chimichurri. The meat: “buttery rich and exactly chewy enough.” Will Owen also liked a dessert of dulce de leche crêpes, topped with bananas, berries, and good vanilla ice cream. The polite, flawlessly efficient service was as good as the food.
