Lovers of Lebanese food got some bad news a couple of years ago when Byblos on East 39th Street burned down. Now there's good news: It's reopened in a new, spiffier space on Madison Avenue, and Motosport says it's "as fantastic and authentic as ever."
RGR recounts a recent dinner highlighted by baba ghanoush, grape leaves stuffed with rice and chickpeas, and a big, delicious fattoush salad. A nicely grilled branzino was moist and flavorful, though on the scrawny side. Overall, RGR says, it was a good, if not rave-worthy, meal. But she has her eye on the charcoal-grilled lamb chops, and she'll be back.
