There’s something new and intriguing at the Shake Shack: a bacon burger with spicy pepper relish called the SmokeShack. MVNYC, not previously a fan of the popular fast-food chain, likes it a lot. The bacon’s nicely smoky, he says, but what truly gives this burger a lift is the relish: “It added a really good brightness to cut through the rich bacon cheeseburger and reminded me of a Balkan cherry-pepper spread.”

MVNYC scored his at Shake Shack’s Upper East Side location, but the SmokeShack has also been sighted at the Madison Square Park flagship. New Yorkers shouldn’t wait too long to check it out. tpigeon, who enjoyed this burger at the Shake Shack in Miami, warns that it’s no longer on the menu there.
