Tea-Infused Vermouth

Philip Ward of Death & Co on New York’s Lower East Side makes this specialty vermouth to add an edge to cocktails like his Jersey Lightning punch.

What to buy: Carpano Antica vermouth is a slightly bitter vermouth that can be found at specialty liquor stores.

Harvest Moon Tea is a black tea with cinnamon and apple notes. If you can’t find it, you can use any other good-quality black tea with similar flavors.

Instructions

Place tea in the bottle of vermouth, close, and shake to combine. Set aside for 1 1/2 hours to infuse. Strain out tea and use vermouth as you would normally.
