Not many American’s are familiar with antioxidant rich black currants. Black Currants are wildly popular in the United Kingdom and Europe, and were actually banned in the United States for quite some time until the ban was lifted by New York farmer Greg Quinn in 2003.

This recipe is simple and super delicious. Black Currants are bold and tart, so add sugar to taste. Once you add the sugar, the flavor is absolutely delicious. I purchase all of my farm fresh black currants through this website:
