Zuni bread salad - holy salt batman!

So my first attempt at the bread salad that goes with the Zuni roast chicken. Whenever I make a recipe for the first time, I always try and stick the recipe exactly to see how it turns out. So when I saw 5 teaspoons of salt in the dressing, I thought "eek", but put it in anyway. Yikes! Was that the wrong thing to do. The salad was absolutely delicious, except for the incredible level of saltiness. Anyone else find this to be a problem? I so rarely put salt in my cooking that maybe I'm just hyper sensitive. Nonetheless, all the other flavors were amazing. But next time - less salt! Maybe no salt...

And my 4 lb. bird was glorious, thanks to everyone for the tips and reassurance on that front. I love to Zuni!
