Today four others and I (Jim and Jonathan Zurer, Pappy and Roe Panella) had the good fortune of sharing each other's company for lunch. We had the bad fortune of sharing it at Zola. I'll leave the details for them but I may be alone in my opinions since the restaurant's 170 seats were packed straight through past 2:00PM. Unique ambience, excellent wine list, condescending staff, reasonable prices, mediocre (at best) food one step removed from TGIFriday's or Bennigan's. I have no idea what dinner is like but for me that's not important. I'll never go back. There are too many restaurants in downtown Washington that have good food for the same amount of money and value their customers' business.
