Following up on a thread from last week, just sampled Zaytinya again after a coupla-month absence. All seemed well today. Got the carrot/pistachio fritters, the ground lamb in tomato sauce, chicken with orzo, and spanakopita. All were scrumptious, except for the spanakopita, which (it seems to me) has been on a steady decline since the first time I tried it, right when Zaytinya opened. Gets a bit greasier and staler-tasting each time, with spinach less tender and more stringy. Other than that, food was as flavorful as I remembered it and nothing was over- or underdone. (Steve: maybe you hit them on an off day last week?)
A short note about the service, however: why is a mezze restaurant that's only 1/3 full taking 20+ minutes to send food out?
