Zarella's

We had another good meal at Zarella last night. The
place was packed, even on a Monday night, so don't ever
go there without reservations. But they were very nice
and made a real effort to find us a table (which they
did).

They're serving a great calamari appetizer at the
moment: lightly breaded and served with a moderately
spicy sauce of chunks of tomato, onion, pepper, and
green olive.

The tamale of the day, chicken mole, was also great;
but I'm a sucker for a good tamale.

The fish special, filet of sole in a very interesting
chili & saffron sauce, was good. Not as good as I'd
hoped, but very pleasant.

The drawbacks are the crowd & the noise -- which is
oppressive -- and the price: $60 for two appetizers,
one main dish, and a couple drinks. They really gouge
on the drinks, so get your appertif elsewhere.
