In Xishuanbanna last year I had a wonderful dish that I am trying to recreate: spicy rice and pineapple stuffed back into the pineapple and baked. Trying to get a handle on the spices. my internet search has only found Boluo fan, which is a different recipe: sweet and uses sticky rice, which this didn't.
Our local heavenly Chinese restaurant has promised to recreate this for a feast on Wednesday if I can give them an ingredients list, so please help if you can. Maybe Gary Soup?
