York Street

We ate at York Street last night and I was disappointed. The food was good but the service was not. There was a 30 minute lag between the salad/appetizer and entrees. No explanation was offered, nor an apology. The table next to us was seated at the same time and they were finishing dessert before we had our main course. My husband ordered the lamb chops and received two of them on the bone with a pile of lamb shreds next to it that were well-done, instead of medium/med-rare as ordered. Again, no explanation.
I ordered a vegetable plate and one of the selections included was something that we had shared as an appetizer. A small thing that I think a good waiter should have caught and corrected.
The acorn squash mash and the bread pudding with caramel ice cream were delicious. Too bad the whole experience didn't live up to those items.
