My high school girlfriend is coming to visit. She is newly married to a Korean American who is in his own words "culturally challenged" regarding his roots. He asked me to make reservations at Yong Su San, but then claimed to know nothing of Korean food and asked me to take care of the menu and drinks.
Naturally I did research here and seem to find a consensus of people recommending the $22 or $23 per person menus (may be old prices) as opposed to the cheaper or more expensive options. The cheaper menu is said to be "too boring" while I read that the more expensive versions have a greater emphasis on "unusual seafood" (this seems to be reported as a negative). Well, I am a VERY adventurous eater and am not worried about my companions too much either...so "unusual seafood" might go in the plus column in my book (or am I niave?).
I have asked for a menu to be faxed over and that may help. But in the meantime can anyone out there help me?
I am also interested in what is appropriate to drink?
