I will be bringing a group of 11 high school students to Rome over Christmas/New Years. We are looking for a decent restaurant for New Year's Eve. However, because they are students we are on a tight budget - maybe 35 to 40 euros a person max, but cheaper if we can get it! I am trying to arrange something in advance because with the chaperones our group will have a total of 17 people - too many to hope to walk up to a restaurant that day. A few of the places I've looked at online have set menus with prices around 80 euro per person - definitely out of our range. We are really just looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. Because they are in high school they will surely prefer good food in a fun, relaxed environment as oppossed to something stuffy or fancy - which we cant afford anyway! We are also planning on heading out to some of the public squares after dinner, so we wont necessarily need entertainment at the restaurant. I have seen lots of good advice on this blog and I am hoping some of you who are more familiar with Rome will be able to offer some suggestions! Thanks!
